My Journey So Far!

About me

Hi there! I’m Lavender Charnock; your well-wisher from a charming little town in the USA. Unfortunately, I did not have a sense of stability in my early days. Growing up in a distressed household was no fun. Let’s just say, I would have liked my childhood to be a lot more different than what it was. Despite all the trials life threw my way, I have been determined to shine!

I did my undergrad in psychology, after which I did my PGDM in expressive arts therapy. t is then that I discovered the power of healing. I learnt some important lessons too, one of them being the various paths to achieving mental peace.

As a 31-year-old expressive arts therapist, and lifestyle coach, I’m determined to help you uncover the best version of yourself. I’m not even halfway through my journey of self-discovery, but I’m one step closer than I was yesterday. Truth be told— I adore the person I am growing to be. And, I wish you could do the same!

Blog Philosophy

Any progress made is still progress. Any win, no matter how small you might consider it to be, is still a win. And every step you take towards your self-discovery and healing, is a step closer to your destination. We must learn to appreciate the journey along with the destination. It’s never too late to start trying, it’s never too late to heal, and it’s most definitely never too late to ask for help.

Through Lavender Star, I’m committed to making you feel seen and heard. You deserve to nurture your body, soul, and mind; and shine brightly and unabashedly as yourself. Let me be there for you as your companion – someone that is on the same journey as you; seeking the same purpose, joy and passion for life; and discovering the person they truly are!

Personal Goals

In the coming years, I wish to free myself from the demands of the world that put undue pressures on my body, mind and soul. I want to be able to set myself free from the unrealistic expectations of the world, and instead do what makes me feel nourished and healthy. I want my diets to be healthier, not necessarily smaller. I want my body to be stronger, not necessarily smaller. I want stress and anxiety to stop controlling my life, and I wish to heal my inner child.

I want to continue growing this beautiful community we have created together. I want to be able to reach more people, and inspire them to become the best versions of themselves. I want my writing to resonate with my readers. Finally, I wish to be comfortable and at peace. And I wish the same for you!
